Help me go on a Mission Trip to Honduras!

I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and putting my faith into practice!! And my granddaughter Rachel will be joining me to experience this life-changing opportunity.

Would you help me meet my goal which will allow me to visit, witness and love on the children at Good Shepherd Children's Home in Honduras? A small donation will go a long way.

This mission trip (with Christie Hawkins of “The Social Easel”) will be November 19-25. The trip is in partner with Rice Bowls and Baptist Medical & Dental Mission International. As the name “The Social Easel” implies, we will be conducting an Art Camp that week for these kids.

The kids range in age from 3-18. Some were abandoned and/or abused. Most will spend their entire childhood years in an orphanage. That is heartbreaking to me. What a blessing it will be to show these kids some love!

Why do I feel called?

As I approach June 25th, the first anniversary of losing my only sibling, my brother, I find myself thinking…He had an incredible life even if it was cut short! One to be proud of. And I’m proud!
He was a believer and wasn’t quiet about it. While serving 20 years in the Army, he mentored young soldiers and went on mission trips to Vietnam to help find and retrieve the remains of our lost soldiers and return them to their families. What a legacy!

I want to celebrate his life and honor his memory. I am so blessed in many ways and it’s time for me to do more for others. To give back and trust that God will make this happen.

Even if you are unable to give financially, more importantly, we need your prayers for safety during our travels. Also pray that we can share God’s love and touch the lives of some of these children.
