Hello, friends and family,
Samuel and I have the opportunity to travel to Honduras on a mission trip focused on addressing hunger and poverty among children. As a mom, I want to show Samuel what faith looks like in action, serving others, noticing the needs around us, and stepping outside our comfort zone. For him, this trip is a chance to see the world differently and grow in compassion through being present with others.
Doing this mission together as mother and son is especially meaningful. We’ll serve side by side, grow in faith together, and create memories rooted in purpose, particularly while caring for children who don’t have the same opportunities we do. We hope to live out our faith and care for “the least of these,” remembering that love is often shown in practical, everyday ways.
As Scripture says, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these… you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). If you feel led to support us through a donation, prayer, or by sharing this, we would be deeply grateful. Every bit helps make this mission possible and supports Rice Bowls' meaningful work with children in Honduras.
