Help us go on a Mission Trip to Honduras!

Dear Friends and Family,

This year, Evelyn and I will be traveling to Honduras with our church, Trailside, partnering with an organization called Rice Bowls. Rice Bowls provides 100% of the food budgets for healthy, locally sourced meals at orphanages around the world, helping ensure children receive the nourishment they need to grow and thrive. Providing healthy food is often the first step toward changing an orphaned child’s life.

While we are there, we will visit three orphanages where we’ll spend time engaging with the children, supporting caregivers, organizing and hosting a birthday party for the kids, and completing service projects to meet practical needs. Our hope is simply to show up with willing hands and open hearts, ready to serve however we can.

The financial commitment for this trip is $2,395 per person. This cost includes airfare, room and board, plus food and supplies for the orphanages we will be serving. We know that supporting mission trips like this is a sacrifice, and we don’t take that lightly.

We also recognize that this trip will shape us just as much as it blesses the children we serve. God calls us to care for orphans, and we’re praying this experience will open our eyes to a broader world with needs greater than our own and help form both our hearts for a lifetime of compassion and service.

Matthew 25:35–40 reminds us:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.”
